They say romance never goes out of style. At Robertson’s Flowers, we could not agree more. Although many folks may reserve the romance for Valentine’s Day or anniversaries, the true romantics know that there is a never a wrong time to celebrate love. August is National Romance Month, and it is a great opportunity to shower a loved one with affection, or to tell your spouse that you would say “I do!” all over again.

We love what we do, because every day we meet special people who do special things for the people they cherish. No matter what time of year, roses are the quintessential flower of love . You may choose a traditional long-stemmed red rose bouquet, or a more modern and contemporary twist on the classic bloom. In the summer months, many clients choose lush bouquets of roses combined with mixed garden flowers in romantic palettes of buttercream, pink and orange.

Perhaps one of our favorite traditions is that of recreating a bridal bouquet to commemorate an anniversary. One of our more touching stories involves a gentleman who came in to have replicas made of the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets from his wedding. His wife had loved the bouquets (also created by Robertson’s Flowers) but the originals were damaged in the delicate preservation process. Their 5th wedding anniversary was approaching, so he secretly conspired with our designer Rita to make perfect copies of the bride’s original cream, blue and white flowers, complete with the same champagne and silver ribbons! We were honored to be a part of such a romantic gesture, and the bride was thrilled with such a meaningful gift that she could keep for a lifetime. Now that’s romance!
