Recently, Robertson’s Flowers and Events had the honor of working with the area’s top hospitality providers in preparing for and servicing the Democratic National Convention. (July 25-28, 2016). Robertson’s Flowers added floral designs at The Barnes, Carpenter’s Hall, and the Ballroom at The Academy of Music, among other locations. This photo represents several of our table arrangements at a reception at The Barnes; and is courtesy of Starr Catering, the talented chefs behind this delicious spread and a frequent partner of Robertson’s Flowers. For a special project, we were asked by CSX to create a welcoming atmosphere at Amtrak Platform 9, at the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Plants and flowers were provided both for the inside of the train cars, as well as the surrounding areas outside of the trains. To accomplish the job, we positioned 6′ tall partitions to partially enclose Track 9 and added 340 feet of navy carpeting to the entire length of the 4 cars that were used for entertaining.

Ficus trees, areca palms, Boston ferns, and other green foliage were provided to both embellish the space and block any gaps in the partitions. In all, over 60 plants were provided along the platform. 8 black 18″ oscillating fans were brought in to keep the air moving, and floral arrangements of elegant white blooms and greenery were designed in various styles for the registration table, buffet, cocktail tables and powder room.
