We here at Robertson's Flowers are steeped in classic long-stemmed roses in the run-up to Valentine's Day, but our designers are skilled in a fresh, modern approach, too. February 14th is a major floral occasion and long, stemmy roses might be its emblem, but there are so many flowers and styles available that convey just as much passion and affection. We see this holiday as an opportunity to create pieces that feel nuanced and customized, ensuring that you can express your feelings for someone in a way that feels tailored to your relationship with them. When color powerhouse Pantone announced its pick for Color of the Year 2018, the creative world took notice. Pantone's choice, Ultra Violet, is an extraordinary color, both majestic and mystical. Since the COY is supposed to capture the cultural zeitgeist and make a projection about the coming year, this blue-based purple is carrying a lot on its shoulders. Here at Robertson's Flowers, we fully embrace this intriguing color, mostly because we've had purple blooming in our shop for a long time. Galentine's Day is all the reason you need to celebrate your best ladies this February 13; after all, that's what it was designed for. It sprang into being during a 2010 episode of NBC's Parks and Recreation, when main character Leslie Knope took all her girls out to lunch and proclaimed it "Galentine's . . . only the best day of the year!"
Today, women have adapted the fictional holiday to their own ends, spending time with female friends, family members and colleagues in order to show their love and affection. We here at Robertson's Flowers are here for it, and we think it should include flowers. Read More about Give Your Favorite Friends Flowers For Galentine’s Day »

We're solidly into cold and flu season, and chances are you know someone who is suffering from more than the winter blues. It's traditional to offer someone who is under the weather a flower gift; it shows care and concern and brings a little life into their space at a time when, let's face it, they are probably bed, couch or hospital bound. A gift of flowers can go a long way to perking someone up, we here at Robertson's Flowers believe, reminding them that they will recover. Read More about Vibrant Designs To Help Them Get Well »

Is there anything more beautiful than a bed of spring tulips? We at Robertson's Flowers don't think so, but we also don't believe in waiting until spring to enjoy one of the most celebrated of all flowers, a bloom so gorgeous that the poets of antiquity even had something to say about it. There are tulip festivals across the world, and we can understand why. It's that same adoration that moves us to embrace tulips in winter. Yes, even in the coldest of seasons, tulips shine bright. When International Floral Distributors released its annual trend report for 2018's floral designs, we at Robertson's Flowers couldn't have been more thrilled. One of the styles spoke to us in particular, and it's an approach with which we are intimately familiar. IFD is calling it "Positively Posh," and that's a pretty accurate capture of what this look is about. Whimsical and romantic, designs in this style are a gorgeous blend of the traditional and the modern. Read More about Trending: 2018’s Positively Posh Flowers »

Secret Santa, the group gift swap so popular in the West, presents a unique challenge for givers. After all, the whole gift exchange hinges on the fact that the recipient doesn't know the giver's identity. This is what makes the exchange so fun, but also what can make selecting a gift tricky. Many people go the joke route, purchasing a not-so-serious gift that will elicit laughs more than enthusiastic surprise.
At Robertson's Flowers, our floor is stocked with amazing gifts that sidestep this dilemma. Read More about Glorious Secret Santa Decor From Our Store »
