A Weekend Reserved For Entertaining

On May 28th, we honor the soldiers who died in service to country, remembering the friends and family whose heroism touched our lives. But this is also a time when we gather together with the people in our lives now. The three-day weekend on the cusp of summer is an occasion to go outdoors and celebrate the change of seasons and the time we have together. Many people will be hosting backyard barbecues, al fresco dinners or other events in tribute to Memorial Day. Whether big or small, informal or formal, flowers are often called for. Earth Day is rolling around again on April 22, and we here at Robertson's Flowers are happy to report that our Philadelphia community is pulling out all the stops when it comes to celebrating our great planet. The sheer variety of events going on about town offers us the chance to get educated and informed as well as to do something active to promote environmental awareness. Clean-ups, recycling drives and other initiatives give us an opportunity to give back to our community and to feel a part of the bigger global effort to preserve the Earth. After a long winter, it's time to take stock of our work surfaces. This includes, but is not limited to, conference tables, reception areas, personal desks, cubicles and common tables.
